Welcome to Torque App ("we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and handle information when you use our mobile application (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.

2. Information We Collect
The Torque App is designed to function primarily on-device, minimizing the collection of personal data.

* **Camera Data:** The App requires access to your device's camera to scan Barcodes, VINs, and take photos of automotive parts. Camera images are processed on your device and are not uploaded to our servers.
* **Locally Stored Data:** Any job information you save (including vehicle details, part names, and photos) is stored locally on your device using local storage. **We do not have access to this data.**
* **Third-Party API Queries:** In order to provide the core functionality of the App, specific non-identifiable data points are sent to third-party services:
* **Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs)** and **Barcodes** are sent to the **NHTSA API** and **UPCItemDB API** solely for decoding.
* **Vehicle names and Part names/numbers** are sent as text prompts to **Google's Gemini API** to generate torque specifications.

3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information accessed by the App solely to:
*   Identify vehicles from scanned VINs.
*   Identify automotive parts from scanned barcodes.
*   Generate accurate automotive torque specifications via AI.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We **do not** sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Data is only transmitted to the third-party APIs listed above (NHTSA, UPCItemDB, and Google Gemini) to perform real-time lookups. Your locally saved jobs, photos, and project history remain exclusively on your device.

5. Security
Because your job data is stored locally on your device, the security of that data relies on the security of your device (e.g., your device passcode or biometrics). We transmit API requests over secure, encrypted connections (HTTPS).

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App or on our associated platforms.
